Flea Market Sales for the Good Cause
Our association is particularly proud of the school for the deaf in the village of Ttanda. There, in recent years, with the help of the South Tyrolean group, it has been possible to expand and extend more and more. Thus, during the pandemic, a new school building could also be put into operation, which was financed with money from South Tyrol.
Due to the poor medical care, there are far more children with hearing impairments in Uganda than in Europe. And so the need for education for deaf children is enormous. That is why the group around Amalia Schätzer wants to stay involved. Now the construction of a further boarding school building in Tanda is to be financed.
Recently the proud amount of Euro 13.710,- could be handed over in the context of a small barbecue celebration. Money that was earned at many, many flea market events. Every single euro of it arrives in Uganda. Not only the hard-working flea market sellers work completely free of charge, but also the employees of KINDERN EINE CHANCE do their work on a voluntary basis.
